Project Coordinator

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the implementation of movement operations in Oranjestad, Aruba. Reporting to the Coordinator for the Caribbean and the Program Manager, the role ensures that project activities align with IOM standards and contribute to the safe and orderly movement of migrants and refugees.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate operational activities of the office, ensuring compliance with IOM procedures and developing effective monitoring tools.
• Maintain project correspondence, draft regular and special reports, and prepare briefings for government and partner entities.
• Oversee the implementation of the Destination Management System (DTM) in Aruba, including biometric registration, verification, and flow monitoring.
• Coordinate liaison with government partners, donors, UN agencies, and civil society organizations.
• Organise agendas, field visits, appointments, and meetings; record minutes and follow‑up actions.
• Plan, coordinate and deliver training sessions, workshops, and other capacity‑building activities.
• Supervise administrative procedures required for successful project delivery.
• Monitor budget execution and ensure activities achieve intended outcomes.
• Supervise data collection processes for all project components.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, International Relations, Regional Studies or a related field.
• Two years of relevant professional experience (or four years with a university degree).
• Prior experience in IOM Movement Operations is essential.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IOM Movement Operations program implementation, including administrative, financial and business rules.
