Manager, Accounting, Compliance & Reporting - Aruba

About the role

EY is looking for a Manager of Accounting, Compliance & Reporting to join its team in Aruba. As a leader of the Accounting, Compliance & Reporting function, you will work with clients to deliver comprehensive financial reporting and support, keeping financial data accurate and helping clients' organisations stay financially healthy.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients on financial reporting and accounting matters, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in line with accounting standards and regulations, delivered on time.
• Help clients prepare budgets, forecasts and financial plans, giving strategic advice on their financial strategy.
• Monitor and analyse financial performance, spotting trends, variances and areas for improvement.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing, including reconciliations and adjustments.
• Work with cross-functional teams to support clients' decisions and initiatives.
• Help design and implement internal controls and financial policies, and support audits by providing documentation and answering auditor questions.
• Keep up with changes in accounting regulations and best practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; a professional accounting designation such as CPA or ACCA is preferred.
• Significant experience in accounting, compilation, controlling or financial reporting, preferably in a professional services setting with managerial responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
• Leadership and team management skills, able to handle several tasks and meet deadlines in a fast pace.

Required skills

• Accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Communication in Dutch, English and Papiamento.
• Caseware Cloud is an advantage.
