Senior Assurance Auditor - Aruba

About the role

EY's Assurance group is looking for a Senior Assurance Auditor to join its Audit team in Aruba. You will provide an objective, independent examination of clients' financial statements, discuss accounting and reporting matters with management and support audit committees. The role offers ongoing professional development, tailored coaching and career advancement.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and assess client satisfaction
• Maintain regular contact with the client throughout the year
• Direct daily fieldwork, report engagement status to supervisors and manage staff performance
• Adapt the audit approach to the changing client environment
• Apply a thorough understanding of complex accounting and auditing concepts to client situations
• Delegate tasks, give guidance, provide performance feedback and training, and conduct performance reviews
• Foster an efficient, innovative and team-oriented environment, and contribute ideas to the audit team
• Use technology to share knowledge and improve service delivery, and maintain an educational program

Required profile

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or another business-related subject, and/or an accounting designation such as ACCA, CA, CGA or CPA
• At least 3 years of experience as an auditor at a public accounting firm, or equivalent business/industry experience to meet special needs
• Dedication to teamwork and leadership, and integrity in a professional environment
